About Vickie Voukidis

Vickie Voukidis Blum earned her law degree from DePaul College of Law in 1986 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at DePaul University in 1983. Her education took place during a period of change in the legal profession. The two DePaul degrees anchor her professional story and set the stage for a long career in the law.

Soon after finishing law school, she moved into legal practice. That entry began a multi-decade career that has spanned both the late 20th century and the first decades of the 21st. Over the years she handled the steady, often detail-heavy work that keeps a law office running and affects real people and businesses. She learned to balance courtroom deadlines, client meetings, and the written work that underpins every legal file.

Colleagues describe her as thorough in preparation and pragmatic in approach. She developed a working routine that covers investigation, legal research, drafting, and client counseling. Those are the day-to-day tasks that shape outcomes in individual cases and transactions. She has navigated the changes in practice brought by technology and shifts in law, adapting as the profession has evolved.

Her practice has included direct client representation and the advisory side of legal work. She is comfortable in both negotiated settings and matters that require formal filings and hearings. The breadth of tasks she has taken on reflects the kind of general practice that many small to mid-size offices maintain, where an attorney must move across different types of matters depending on client need.

Blum has maintained ties to the community of lawyers who trained in the same era of legal education at DePaul. Those connections informed her outlook on professional responsibility, mentorship, and the practical demands of managing a caseload. She has worked alongside other practitioners and support staff to resolve disputes and advance client interests through papers, negotiation, and occasional courtroom appearances.

Today she continues to practice law, providing legal advice and representation to clients and focusing on the practical resolution of their legal matters.
