About Veronica
Veronica Valenzuela is a personal injury attorney based in Austin, Texas, with over 20 years of experience in litigation across multiple areas of law. Raised in Odessa, Texas, she is a first-generation Mexican-American who grew up in a bicultural environment with Spanish as her first language. After graduating from Permian High School, she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1995. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, graduating in 2003. During law school, Veronica clerked for the Thirteenth Court of Appeals of Texas and the United States Western District of Texas. She also served as a Senior Editor for St.
Mary's School of Law Journal and represented the school in Moot Court competitions. After law school, she began her legal career in McAllen, Texas, working in commercial and bankruptcy litigation for two years. She then transitioned to a personal injury law firm, focusing on high-volume cases. In 2008, she founded her own practice, V. Valenzuela Law Firm, PLLC, expanding her focus to include family law, general business law, criminal law, and estate planning/probate. In 2016, she relocated to Austin and joined Daniel Stark, P.C., a high-volume personal injury law firm. In 2023, she reopened V.
Valenzuela Law Firm, PLLC, aiming to build a client-oriented firm that values quality over quantity, transparency, sincerity, and attention to detail. Veronica is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Austin Bar Association, Travis County Women Lawyers Association, Texas State Bar Women and the Law Section, Texas State Bar Hispanic Issues Section, American Bar Association, Hidalgo County Women's Bar Association, Hidalgo County Bar Association, Texas State Bar College. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family. She has completed three marathons, including the Big Sur Marathon in 2022, and has been a member of Yoga East Austin for over two and a half years.
