About Tyler Scott

Tyler Scott Phillips built his legal career steadily, moving from associate roles to a firm partnership over the course of a decade. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, earning a B.A. in 2008. He went on to Saint Louis University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2012.

After law school he entered private practice. In 2014 he joined Blickhan, Timmerwilke, & Woodworth as an associate. He spent those early years developing courtroom skills and learning the day-to-day work of litigation and client counseling. Cases and file work were the classroom where he learned practical lawyering.

In 2016 he moved to Hauk & Owens, LLC as an associate. That position broadened his exposure to different types of matters and to the demands of managing a growing caseload. He handled discovery, motions practice, and prepared for trial settings. Colleagues from this period describe a lawyer who prefers to let work speak for itself.

His next step came in 2022, when he became a partner at Rober Law P.C. That promotion marked a shift from an exclusively associate role to one that involves firm leadership and higher responsibility for client results. As partner he takes on supervision of more junior attorneys, contributes to case strategy, and carries a full docket while attending to firm business.

Phillips is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri. He has maintained his practice across those jurisdictions and appears in state courts where his clients have matters pending. He has been active in professional circles since shortly after law school and has maintained memberships in bar-related organizations.

Colleagues and clients have noted his steady presence at hearings and trial calendars. He balances preparation with pragmatism and tends to approach disputes with a clear-eyed view of the legal and factual issues. Outside the office he keeps a low public profile and focuses on meeting the demands of active litigation practice.

He is currently a partner at Rober Law P.C., practicing in matters arising in Illinois and Missouri and representing clients in state-court proceedings.
