About Andrew O.

Andrew O. Mays earned his law degree at Marquette University Law School, receiving a J.D. in 2009. He completed his legal education after several years of study and moved into practice in the Midwest. His training at Marquette gave him a foundation in legal research, writing and courtroom procedure.

Soon after graduation he began practicing in Illinois. He is admitted to the Illinois bar and has maintained an active license there. Early years in practice involved familiar work: drafting pleadings, arguing motions, counseling clients and negotiating settlements. He handled each assignment with attention to detail and a preference for clear communication.

Over time his work broadened to include both litigation and transactional tasks. He has represented clients in state proceedings and counseled them on agreements and compliance matters. That mix of courtroom appearances and document work shaped an adaptable approach. He aims to present complex issues in straightforward terms so clients can make practical decisions.

Colleagues describe him as someone who prepares thoroughly and values steady progress. He tends to break problems into manageable parts and tackle them one at a time. In hearings he focuses on the facts and the rules that apply. In office settings he prioritizes draftsmanship and predictable timing.

Outside the courtroom he stays engaged with continuing legal education and professional activities in Illinois. He keeps current on changes in state law and attends seminars that sharpen day-to-day practice skills. That ongoing study helps him spot procedural issues early in a case and avoid unnecessary delays.

He currently practices law in Illinois and serves clients across a range of state-level matters. He is based in Illinois and continues to handle legal work there.
