About Tyler R.

Tyler R. Barrett grew up and built his professional life in Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma and went on to complete a Juris Doctor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2011. Those years in Norman shaped his interest in public law and the day-to-day practice of serving clients in local communities.

After law school, Barrett began his legal career at Hampton and Milligan in 2011. He worked there as an associate, handling a variety of matters that gave him practical courtroom and transactional experience. Three years later he struck out on his own. In 2014 he opened The Law Office of Tyler R. Barrett, P.L.L.C., a small firm that allowed him to set the tone for client work and case management.

Barrett’s memberships reflect the kinds of work he takes on. He is a member of the Cleveland County Bar Association and participates in national networks such as WealthCounsel and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Those affiliations keep him connected to peers and emerging practice developments. He also maintains ties to local legal circles in Oklahoma.

Colleagues describe Barrett as methodical in his case preparation. Clients have found him straightforward in explaining options and requirements. He balances attention to detail with a practical sense of how matters unfold in state court and administrative settings. Those qualities have shaped the practice he now runs from his office in Oklahoma.

Over the past decade he has handled a mix of transactional work, estate planning, and matters that touch on elder law and probate administration. He manages wills and trusts, helps families plan for incapacity, and assists executors and trustees as estates are settled. He files documents, advises on statutory requirements, and represents clients when disputes arise in probate proceedings.

Barrett keeps his practice deliberately local. He emphasizes accessibility and predictable communication. Cases tend to be one- and two-attorney matters rather than large litigation teams. That structure informs his schedule and the way he staffs client matters.

He remains active in professional organizations and in the regional legal community. His office handles intake, drafting, and representation in state-level matters. He concentrates his practice on estate planning, elder law and probate matters.
