About Jaime

Jaime Ramos built a career that moves between criminal justice theory and everyday courtroom practice. He began his academic path at Troy University, where he completed a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2011. He then pursued a master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati, receiving an M.S. in Criminal Justice in 2015. Ramos finished law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2021.

After law school, Ramos entered public service. In 2021 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer with the District Lawyer s Council. That role placed him in the practical world of court calendars and client advocacy early in his legal career. He moved into legal aid work in 2023 when he joined Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma as a staff lawyer. There he handled a caseload that involved direct client representation, intake work and courtroom appearances.

Ramos’s academic background in criminal justice informs much of his approach. His training spans undergraduate and graduate study as well as professional legal training. He has worked in roles that required legal research, case preparation and oral argument. Colleagues describe him as methodical and steady under pressure; those are practical traits in a practice that involves frequent time-sensitive work.

He belongs to several professional groups. Ramos has been a member of the Mexican American Bar Association since 2021 and joined the National Hispanic Bar Association in 2023. He holds licensure to practice law in Oklahoma and is also licensed to practice before the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, a combination of state and tribal jurisdictional experience that shapes the kinds of matters he handles.

Ramos runs a small private practice under the name The Law Offices of Jaime Ramos. He manages client matters that draw on his criminal justice training and his public service background. He works in both state and tribal venues and represents individuals in proceedings that arise in those systems. He continues to serve clients through his office and through memberships in professional associations while maintaining an active practice in Oklahoma and before the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
