About Troy John
Troy John Webber followed a steady academic path before entering the legal profession. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Florida in 2000, then completed a master’s degree in history at the same institution in 2003. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2006.
After law school, Webber moved into private practice and built a practice anchored in state-level criminal work. He became a licensed member of the Florida Bar in 2010 and began affiliating with professional groups relevant to criminal defense. He joined the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the American Bar Association in 2010. A year later he added membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Those memberships signal the professional circles he inhabits. They also reflect the kinds of matters he has handled over more than a decade in practice: courtroom litigation, pretrial proceedings and related hearings in Florida courts. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases and attentive to procedural detail. He has worked across a range of criminal matters at both trial and appellate levels.
Webber’s academic background in history and political science informs a measured approach to legal research and case strategy. He combines that academic training with courtroom experience. That mix often shows in careful motions practice and attention to trial procedure. He has participated in local bar events and continuing-education panels through his professional memberships. Those activities keep him current on evolving rules and case law.
He practices from Hussein & Webber, PL, where he handles criminal defense matters for clients in Florida courts. He remains active in the Florida Bar and maintains memberships in national and state criminal defense organizations. As of 2026 his practice concentrates on criminal defense and related state-court matters.
