About Trevor Byron
Trevor Byron Countryman grew up academically focused and moved quickly through university into law school. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California in 2010 and continued at USC Gould School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2013. Those years at USC shaped his legal training and introduced him to large-firm practice environments.
He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2013 and has maintained membership there since. Early in his career he joined Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP as a lawyer in 2014. That move placed him inside a multi-practice firm where young associates often rotate through client matters and learn the mechanics of high-volume legal work.
At Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP he has worked alongside teams handling a range of matters typical of a full-service firm. His role has involved drafting documents, participating in client meetings, and supporting litigation and transactional files. Colleagues and supervisors have relied on him to manage detailed assignments and meet tight deadlines.
Countryman’s practice reflects the sort of breadth that comes from early experience at a larger firm. He has been exposed to both litigation support and transactional workflows. That exposure gave him practical insight into how different practice groups collaborate on complex client needs. He also built experience in legal research and drafting, core skills that underpin much of a lawyer’s day-to-day work.
Outside of firm assignments he has kept up his professional involvement through the State Bar of California. That sustained membership indicates ongoing compliance with licensing requirements and continued ties to the state’s legal community. Maintaining that professional connection has given him access to continuing legal education and peer networks.
Colleagues describe Countryman as detail-oriented and steady under pressure, traits that matter in environments where schedules are tight and files move quickly. He has spent his career to date embedded in firm practice, where client service and teamwork are central. Today he remains at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP, where he handles matters arising from the firm’s broader practice areas and continues to develop his legal practice.
His current practice focuses on client representation and transactional and litigation support at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP.
