About Trenton D.
Trenton D. Garza combines a varied educational background with steady experience in Missouri legal practice. He earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City after completing a professional certificate in legal studies at Amarillo College. Earlier, he received a B.A. in political science and philosophy from Baylor University. He is a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and holds current membership in The Missouri Bar.
Garza’s academic path moved from general studies to professional legal training. His undergraduate work explored the ideas and institutions that shape public life. A subsequent certificate in legal studies provided practical grounding before law school. At UMKC he completed the requirements for the Juris Doctor degree and prepared for practice in Missouri courts.
His entry into the legal field was hands-on. In 2016 he worked as a legal assistant at Templeton Smithee Hayes Heinrich & Russell, L.L.P., where he took on research, drafting, and support tasks that exposed him to litigation and client work. That early experience gave him day-to-day familiarity with firm procedures and courtroom preparation. It also helped bridge the classroom and the practice of law.
In 2021 he began serving as Lawyer & Counselor at Law at Garza Lawyer Group, L.C. He moved from support roles into the lawyer’s seat, managing client matters and handling filings in Missouri. The transition signaled a shift to direct client representation and independent legal responsibility. He maintains active standing in The Missouri Bar and participates in professional networks that reflect his legal training and ethical obligations.
