About Anthony

Anthony Bonuchi built his practice around appellate work and courtroom procedure. He began his legal career on the other side of the bench, serving as a clerk for the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2005. That early experience gave him an inside view of how appellate judges analyze record, briefing and oral argument.

After his clerkship he moved into private practice. By 2006 he had become a shareholder at Polsinelli, where he handled appellate matters and complex litigation. His time at a larger firm exposed him to multi-jurisdictional disputes and the demands of high-stakes appeals. He handled briefing, argued before panels and worked on preservation strategies to ensure issues survived to the appellate level.

He later founded Bonuchi Law, LLC. As the firm’s founder he established a practice that centers on appeals and federal court work. The firm represents clients in a mix of commercial and constitutional matters, and files appeals across federal circuits. Cases for the firm have navigated procedural issues, standards of review and the often technical thickness of appellate records.

Bonuchi is admitted in Missouri and holds appellate admissions across several federal circuits, including the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Circuits and the Federal Circuit. That multi-circuit admission profile allows him to follow a case through trial courts and into appeals without interruption. It also shapes how he prepares trial teams—anticipating how an appellate panel might view the record and preserving arguments likely to matter on appeal.

Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He tends to break problems into discrete legal issues and to test assumptions against precedent. His briefs aim for clarity and economy of language. When he presents oral argument he emphasizes the key legal levers and the record facts that matter most to judges.

Outside courtroom work his practice involves counseling trial counsel on error preservation and appeal readiness. He assists in drafting concise trial records, framing issues for appeal, and deciding whether interlocutory appeals or mandamus petitions are appropriate. He also evaluates post-trial options, including rehearings and petitions for certiorari when applicable.

He continues to lead Bonuchi Law, LLC, where he manages appellate dockets and represents clients across several circuits and state courts. He currently handles appellate litigation in multiple federal circuits and state courts.
