About Tony De

Tony De Alicante is an attorney whose career crosses military service, advanced legal study, and private practice. He holds degrees spanning business, law, national security and taxation. He is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

De Alicante began his formal studies with a bachelor of business administration from Pacific Lutheran University in 1983. He returned to Willamette University for a dual course of study, earning both a J.D. and an M.B.A. in 1988. Later, he deepened his expertise in national security at the Naval War College, completing an M.S. in National Security Studies in 2002, and that same year earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. The sequence of degrees reflects a mix of commercial, legal and national-security training.

His résumé includes military legal service. In 1992 he served as a Captain in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps. That period exposed him to the structures of military law and to legal advising in a disciplined, hierarchical setting. The experience informs his later work in both military-related matters and regulatory contexts.

Admitted to practice on both sides of the Cascades, De Alicante has maintained bar memberships in Washington and Oregon. He is also admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. Those credentials have supported a private practice that draws on his tax education, his national security studies and his earlier military practice.

In private practice he has handled matters that intersect business, tax and government-related legal issues. His academic background in taxation and national security provides a technical frame for resolving complex regulatory questions. His business training allows him to approach corporate and transactional issues with attention to financial and managerial concerns.

He practices at De Alicante Law Group LLC. His current practice concentrates on tax, regulatory and military-related legal matters.
