Todd Stewart is the managing partner at Stewart Law, P.A., located in Charlotte, North Carolina. With over three decades of legal experience, he has been practicing law since 1990. His areas of focus include business law, estate planning, probate, and international law. The firm provides comprehensive services tailored to high-net-worth individuals and business owners, assisting them in crafting plans designed to grow and protect their wealth. In 1990, Todd earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1987.
His academic background in accounting complements his legal expertise, as he is also a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina. Additionally, Todd holds the designation of Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law from the North Carolina State Bar, reflecting his deep knowledge and commitment to this area of practice. Admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1990, Todd is also licensed in South Carolina and Virginia. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the North Carolina State Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the South Carolina State Bar, and the Virginia State Bar. Within the North Carolina Bar Association, he serves on the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section Council, contributing to the development of legal standards and practices in his field. Before founding Stewart Law, P.A. in 1995, Todd worked as a tax lawyer with a "Big 4" international accounting firm. His current practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate law, with a particular emphasis on trusts and estates, as well as corporate and transactional law. Todd limits his practice to serving the wealth planning needs of 75 families, many of whom he has worked with for decades, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and expertise. Outside of his professional commitments, Todd is actively involved in entrepreneurial coaching programs, including Vistage and Strategic Coach. He celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with his wife, Kelly, in 2024. Together, they have three children: Spencer, Nicholas, and Emma. In his leisure time, Todd enjoys traveling, playing tennis, snow skiing, and hiking, reflecting his belief in maintaining a balanced life while pursuing professional excellence.
