About Todd R.
Todd R. Alexander built his legal identity around courtroom procedure and steady, practical work. He came up through Nevada institutions and local courts. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers the facts over flair.
He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2007 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2004. During law school and the summers that followed, he worked in courts and local firms that shaped his approach to litigation.
Early in his career Alexander completed a judicial externship in 2005 for U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert A. McQuaid of the District of Nevada. In 2006 he served as a summer clerk at Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg. After graduating he accepted a judicial clerkship in 2007 with the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada under the Honorable Steven P. Elliott, a role that exposed him to a broad range of civil and procedural matters.
In 2008 he joined Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg as a lawyer and later became a partner there. He spent several years handling trial preparation, depositions, motion practice and other aspects of civil defense work. In 2022 he moved to Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC, where he serves as an associate lawyer, bringing courtroom experience and a background in both defense and personal-injury contexts.
Alexander has been active in bar and defense organizations throughout his career. He holds memberships in the American Bar Association, the Washoe County Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, and the Defense Research Institute. He also served as president of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern Nevada from 2011 to 2012, a post that involved organizing educational programs and coordinating member activities.
His practice centers on civil litigation and accident-injury matters in Nevada courts. He divides his time between case preparation and courtroom work, representing clients in trials, hearings and settlement discussions. He currently practices at Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC and concentrates on civil litigation and accident-injury cases.
