About Todd Andrew

Todd Andrew Spodek trained at Pace Law School, where he completed his legal education before entering practice in New York. He pursued the practical work that often follows law school: courtroom procedures, client counseling and the day-to-day demands of litigation. Those early years set the tone for a career spent largely inside state and federal courthouses.

He is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. That dual admission shapes the kinds of matters he takes on. He has handled cases in state trial courts and moved into federal appellate work when appeals were necessary. The mix of forums has required attention to procedural detail and to the different pacing of trial and appellate calendars.

Spodek’s work is anchored in offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He splits time between those locations to stay close to client needs across the city. The Manhattan office places him near tribunals, corporate centers and law firms. The Brooklyn office situates him closer to community-based clients and local business matters. Managing practices in two boroughs has required a pragmatic approach to scheduling and client communication.

Colleagues describe his courtroom manner as direct. He prepares witness testimony, submits motions and argues hearings when the record is clear. On appeal, filings require precision. Briefs must track the record and frame issues so judges can see the legal question at stake. That combination of trial work and appellate practice influences how he evaluates cases at the outset.

He maintains ongoing professional relationships across the bench and bar. Those relationships help when coordinating filings, scheduling hearings or resolving procedural disputes. He has navigated both state-level practice and the specialized docket of the Federal Circuit, an experience that informs how he approaches matters that may cross jurisdictions.

Clients and colleagues meet him in either Manhattan or Brooklyn. He spends time preparing written work and appearing in court. Today he continues to practice in New York and before the Federal Circuit, representing clients in matters that arise in those courts.
