About Titus Thomas
Titus Thomas Nichols built his legal foundation at two Georgia institutions. He studied English at Morehouse College before earning a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. He later added a privacy certification, CIPP/US, to broaden the scope of his practice.
Nichols began his legal career in a federal clerkship, serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Robert N. Jenkins in 2009. He moved into public prosecution roles soon after, working in the Augusta-Richmond County Solicitor General’s Office as an assistant solicitor-general in 2011 and then as an assistant district lawyer in the Augusta Judicial Circuit District Lawyer’s Office in 2012. Those early years gave him courtroom experience and exposure to trial work.
In 2015 Nichols entered military service as a Judge Advocate General in the United States Army. That role expanded his legal responsibilities and placed him in a structured, discipline-driven environment. He later returned to civilian practice and pursued opportunities that combined trial work, legal technology, and privacy law.
In 2019 he founded Nichols Injury Law, P.C., opening his own practice to handle civil litigation and injury cases. He also stayed connected to legal education. In 2020 Nichols joined the University of Georgia School of Law as an adjunct professor, teaching courses that reflect both trial experience and an interest in technology-related legal issues.
Nichols holds admissions in multiple jurisdictions. He is authorized to practice in Georgia and South Carolina, and he has appeared before the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. That breadth of admissions supports representation in appeals and in matters that cross state lines.
He is active in professional organizations that address law and technology. Since 2018 he has served as Vice Chair of the Privacy & Cybercrimes Committee in the American Bar Association’s Science & Technology Law Section. He also maintains membership in the National Bar Association’s Technology Committee and in the State Bar of South Carolina. These roles reflect an interest in the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, and traditional litigation.
Nichols combines courtroom experience, military service, and academic work in his practice. He handles personal injury and civil litigation matters and advises on privacy and technology-related legal issues. His current practice centers on representing injured clients while addressing privacy and technology concerns that arise in modern litigation.
