About Timothy
Timothy Roberto built his academic foundation at the University of Tennessee system before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2002 and completed a Master of Arts at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2004. He later attended The Nashville School of Law and received his J.D. in 2010.
After law school Mr. Roberto entered practice in Tennessee. Over the years he has developed experience in courtroom work at both the state and federal level. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee, which allows him to handle matters in those federal forums.
His professional life has included active participation in local and state bar organizations. He holds memberships in the Knoxville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. He also belongs to the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court, a group that focuses on professional development and ethics among trial lawyers and judges. Since 2016 he has served on the board of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, a role that has kept him connected to issues affecting trial practice across the state.
Colleagues describe his courtroom presence as steady; he regularly appears before trial judges in Tennessee and in federal district courts when cases require it. Those appearances draw on the practical training he began at The Nashville School of Law and on courtroom work accumulated over more than a decade in practice. He has continued to refine procedural skills and trial techniques through practice rather than academic posts.
Mr. Roberto is affiliated with Brown & Roberto, PLLC, where he works alongside other attorneys on litigation matters filed in local and federal courts. The firm listing identifies him as part of that partnership. In that setting he manages case preparation, client counseling, and courtroom appearances, and coordinates with co-counsel when matters cross jurisdictional lines.
He remains an active participant in Tennessee’s legal community through association work and board service. His practice is based at Brown & Roberto, PLLC, and he represents clients in state and federal courts as part of his current work.
