About Timothy J.

Timothy J. Lowney built a career that links two decades of legal training to running his own firm. He earned a B.S. from Boston College in 1996 and received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1999. Those years framed his entry into practice and set the course for his work in private practice.

After law school, Lowney moved into the day-to-day work of a practicing attorney. He later founded Lowney Law, LLC and established offices in the Lowney Building. Over time he has overseen the firm’s growth and the practical demands of operating a small law practice.

As founder and managing attorney, Lowney handles a variety of responsibilities. He directs casework, supervises staff, and manages client relationships. He also attends to the administrative side of the firm: billing, staffing, and the sorts of operational decisions that keep a practice functioning. He appears in court when matters require it and handles negotiations when a resolution outside the courtroom is preferable.

Colleagues describe him as deliberate and straightforward in how he approaches legal problems. He favors clear planning and careful preparation. He expects the same from the lawyers and support staff who work with him. He has built a practice that reflects those preferences: steady, pragmatic, and oriented toward resolving client matters efficiently.

Lowney’s education informs his approach. Boston College provided a liberal arts foundation and Suffolk University Law School supplied the practical skills of legal analysis and courtroom procedure. The combination shows in how he frames legal questions and how he prepares for hearings and client meetings.

Outside of specific casework, Lowney devotes attention to keeping the firm responsive to client needs. He maintains the office in the Lowney Building and ensures clients know who will handle each aspect of their matter. He also spends time mentoring junior attorneys and managing the firm’s docket so deadlines are met and work moves forward.

He currently leads Lowney Law, LLC and concentrates his practice on client representation and firm leadership.
