About Timothy J.
Timothy J. Leonard studied psychology before turning to law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Washington & Jefferson College. Those academic years shaped an early interest in the intersection of human behavior and legal process.
He began his legal career in the Pittsburgh area. In 2013 he worked as an associate lawyer at W. Jeffrey Leonard, Esq., P.C. Five years later he took a position with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP as a lawyer. The two roles exposed him to different office structures and case loads, and to work across both small-firm and larger national-firm settings.
Outside of firm work Leonard has participated in local legal institutions. He joined the Allegheny County Bar Association in 2016 and has been active there. Since 2014 he has also held membership in the Westmoreland Bar Association. In 2017 he joined the board of directors of Laurel Legal Services, Inc., and he remains on that board. Those engagements have kept him connected to community-focused legal matters and regional professional networks.
