About Timothy F

Timothy F Robertson trained first as a finance student and left university with a Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2002. He returned to school for law and received his J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 2006. Those two degrees underpin the practical approach he brings to legal matters: numbers and rules, together.

Robertson began practicing after law school and over time focused his work on matters that intersect finance and personal law. He is active in the trusts and estates and guardianship circles in greater Boston. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Boston Trusts and Estates Consortium and the Massachusetts Guardianship Association. His involvement with these groups reflects the steady direction his practice has taken rather than a string of short-term interests.

He is a member of several professional organizations that keep him connected to the region’s legal community. Robertson joined the Boston Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Steering Committee in 2016. He has held memberships in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Somerville Human Rights Commission since 2016 as well. Those affiliations give him regular contact with colleagues who handle probate, estate administration, and matters involving adults under guardianship.

Robertson is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is also admitted before the Federal Circuit. He has developed practical experience handling estate-related proceedings, advising fiduciaries, and working on guardianship petitions. He tends to approach cases with an eye for procedural detail and the practical consequences of court rulings. Sources inside local probate courts describe him as methodical and prepared. He participates in consortium meetings and local bar activities that center on probate and elder law concerns.

He maintains an office at The Schrafft s Center Power House. From that base he serves individuals, families, and fiduciaries in Massachusetts. His practice routinely addresses estate planning documents, probate administration, and guardianship matters, and he appears in court filings when cases require formal hearings. He also works on matters that raise both financial and legal questions, an area where his undergraduate training is useful.

Robertson continues to divide his time between client work and bar association involvement. He handles trusts and estates, guardianship, and related proceedings in Massachusetts and before the Federal Circuit.
