About Timothy
Timothy Dugan earned his law degree from Elon University School of Law in 2015. He completed undergraduate studies in political science at Coastal Carolina University, receiving a B.A. in 2011, and holds an A.S. in business administration from S.U.N.Y. Orange, earned in 2009. Those academic stops chart a line from business studies to the study of law and public affairs.
Dugan’s hands-on legal training began before and during law school. As an undergraduate he interned at the Jeffcoat Law Office in 2010. During law school he worked as a research assistant at Elon University School of Law in 2013 and took a legal internship with Roane Law in 2014. Those early roles gave him front-line exposure to client matters, courtroom procedure and legal research.
After graduating, Dugan moved into private practice and firm leadership. In 2015 he was a founding partner of Dugan & Leger, PLLC. Three years later he established The Law Offices of Timothy Dugan. In 2021 he joined Seth M. Woodall and Associates as an associate lawyer. The sequence shows a mix of solo practice and partnership experience alongside work in an established firm environment.
Dugan has been active in local and state bar groups. He holds memberships in the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina Bar Association. He also served with the Brunswick County Bar Association from 2015 until 2020 and was treasurer of the District 13 Bar Association during that same period. Those roles placed him in regular contact with other lawyers in his region and with matters of bar organization and professional activity.
He is licensed to practice in North Carolina. Over the course of his career he has balanced private practice planning and day-to-day client work while participating in bar activities at the county and district levels. He currently practices at Seth M. Woodall and Associates in North Carolina.
