About Alexander J
Alexander J Palme began his academic journey in Greensboro, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014. He stayed in the state for law school and earned his J.D. from North Carolina Central University in 2018. Those years established the platform for a legal career rooted in North Carolina institutions and practice.
After law school, Palme moved into public defense work. In 2020 he served as a legal clerk in the Office of the Juvenile Defender. There he handled research, drafted pleadings, and assisted on courtroom matters involving young people. The work exposed him to the procedural and human dimensions of juvenile court, and it shaped his day-to-day approach to client contact and case preparation.
In 2021 he joined Taylor Law Office as an associate lawyer. At Taylor he took on a mix of litigation support and direct client representation. His responsibilities included motion practice, discovery, and settlement discussions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in building records and attentive when explaining options to clients. He gained experience in courtroom settings as well as in negotiation and client counselling.
Palme is admitted to practice in North Carolina. He has continued to work in areas that require careful procedural handling and frequent client interaction. His background in anthropology informs how he listens to clients and understands family and community dynamics that often appear in legal disputes. That perspective has influenced how he frames issues for judges and opposing counsel.
He now practices at Averett Family Law. There he manages cases that require both technical legal work and steady communication with people facing difficult transitions. He balances written advocacy with in-person representation, preparing for hearings and mediations while keeping clients informed about next steps. His current practice centers on family law matters and related court processes.
