About Tim M.
Tim M. McDuffey built his practice out of central Missouri. He studied economics at Missouri State University, earning a B.S. in 1991, then went on to the University of Missouri–Columbia where he received a J.D. in 1994. Those years set the stage for a career centered on litigation and workplace injury matters.
He began practicing in Missouri and has maintained his legal standing in the state ever since. Early in his career he joined professional groups that connect trial lawyers and plaintiffs’ advocates. He has been a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers since 1998. He joined the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates in 2010 and became part of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel in 2015. He has also belonged to professional organizations continuously since the mid-1990s.
McDuffey opened his own office in 2007. The McDuffey Law Office grew out of a small practice handling workers’ compensation and serious personal injury claims. Over time the firm added another office to serve the Lake of the Ozarks region and maintained a presence in Mid-Missouri to handle claims close to home for area residents.
His courtroom work has been concentrated on cases that arise when employees are hurt on the job. He handles hearings before administrative tribunals and represents clients in litigation when claims move beyond initial compensation hearings. He is comfortable in both contested hearings and settlement negotiations. Clients and opposing counsel know him for a steady approach in the courtroom and a thorough handling of case details.
Outside the courtroom McDuffey has taken part in the professional life of his associations. His memberships range from state trial lawyer groups to national organizations that recognize trial results. Those affiliations provide a platform for continuing legal education and peer interaction, and they have formed part of his professional development for decades.
Today McDuffey continues to run the McDuffey Law Office, operating offices that include a Mid-Missouri workers’ compensation office and a Lake of the Ozarks office. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and continues to handle workers’ compensation and related injury matters in the local courts and administrative agencies.
