About Tiffany
A native of Burke, South Dakota, Tiffany has built a robust legal career since earning her Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2007. Prior to that, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from South Dakota State University in 2004. During her time in law school, Tiffany clerked for the South Dakota Supreme Court, where she gained inexperience in appellate practice—an opportunity that laid the groundwork for her future legal endeavors. In addition to her legal practice, Tiffany is deeply committed to the Sioux Falls community. She serves on the board of directors for Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc., where she contributes to initiatives aimed at enhancing the downtown area.
Furthermore, her role as a member of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Community Appeals Committee allows her to engage with local business leaders and address community concerns. Tiffany is also a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls, a program designed to cultivate leadership skills in the community. Her involvement extends to her church, where she actively participates in the Worship Team, showcasing her commitment to both her faith and her community. Tiffany and her husband, Nathan, are proud parents to three young boys: Noah, Luke, and Graham. Since 2007, Tiffany has been a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, where she has developed a reputation for her expertise and dedication.
She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, expanding her legal capabilities beyond state lines. Her professional journey reflects a commitment to legal excellence and community service, making her a respected figure in both arenas. Before joining Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, Tiffany worked as a staff attorney at the South Dakota Department of Labor. In this role, she handled various employment law cases and provided legal counsel on labor-related matters, gaining firsthand experience in the details of labor law.
Additionally, her tenure as a law clerk for the South Dakota Supreme Court allowed her to assist in the preparation of opinions and conduct legal research, further honing her analytical skills. Tiffany's practice areas encompass business law, communications and internet law, banking and financial services law, and creditor's rights. She has experience advising clients on regulatory compliance, drafting consumer disclosures, and representing financial institutions in various legal matters. This diverse skill set enables her to provide comprehensive legal services tailored to the needs of her clients, solidifying her role as a trusted advisor in the legal community.
