About Thomas William
Thomas William Moyher followed a steady path into the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 2005 and went on to receive his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2009. Those years set the foundation for a practice spanning two neighboring states.
After law school he established himself in litigation. He joined Maya Murphy, P.C. as a litigation lawyer in 2013, handling contested matters for clients of that firm. He also has held membership in the Connecticut Bar Association since 2010, a sign of ongoing engagement with the legal community in Connecticut.
Moyher is admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut. That dual admission shapes the geography of his work. Over the years he has handled disputes that required navigating the differing procedures and expectations of each state, and he is familiar with the practical demands of litigating across state lines.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in courtroom preparation and deliberate in written advocacy. He approaches cases in a step‑by‑step manner. He values clear factual development and careful attention to procedural detail. Those habits inform how he prepares pleadings, motions and client submissions.
Outside the courtroom, Moyher maintains ties to the profession through bar association membership. He has been listed with the Connecticut Bar Association since 2010 and participates in association activities as his schedule allows. That connection keeps him plugged into developments in state practice and local rules.
He has built a practice rooted in litigation work and regional practice. His experience at Maya Murphy, P.C. and ongoing work in two jurisdictions have shaped a practice responsive to the procedural demands of New York and Connecticut. He currently practices in New York and Connecticut and handles civil litigation matters.
