About Thomas
Thomas Walsh built his legal foundation in Florida and returned to the state to run his own practice. He earned a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2012 after completing a B.A. in political science at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2009. He moved into firm practice and then into management. The arc of his career has combined courtroom work and firm leadership.
He began his post-law school career in California. By 2017 he served as an associate at Chauvel & Glatt, LLP. He joined Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP as an associate in 2019. In 2021 he became the managing lawyer at The Walsh Law Office, LLC. The shift to running a smaller firm altered his day-to-day responsibilities. He took on case oversight, client intake and the administrative duties that come with managing a practice.
Walsh has been active in bar and local legal organizations. He has held membership in the Broward County Bar Association since 2021. Earlier, he served as chair of the Labor & Employment Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association from 2018 to 2019. Those roles placed him in regular contact with colleagues who handle employment disputes and workplace issues. They also provided a forum for CLE programming and section leadership.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and California. He also holds federal admissions that allow him to appear in the Eleventh Circuit and before courts in the District of Columbia. That combination of state and federal credentials has informed the kinds of matters his offices handle and the procedural contexts in which he appears.
Colleagues describe Walsh as thorough in preparation and deliberate in courtroom presentation. He has experience preparing pleadings, conducting discovery and arguing motions. His background includes both defense-side and plaintiff-side work, developed during tenures at regional and national firms and continued in his own practice. He balances litigation duties with the administrative demands of managing a small law office.
Since taking the helm at The Walsh Law Office in 2021, he has focused his practice on employment and labor matters. He maintains a caseload that reflects his interest in workplace law and related civil litigation. He currently practices at The Walsh Law Office, LLC and focuses on employment and labor matters.
