About Thomas R.
Thomas R. Daniels built his legal foundation at St. Joseph’s University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1979. He continued his studies at the University of Miami School of Law and earned his J.D. in 1982. Those academic years set the stage for a long career that has spanned state and federal courts.
He has practiced across multiple jurisdictions. His admissions include Pennsylvania and its Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Membership in several state and local bar associations followed, including the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, the Wyoming County Bar Association, and the Lackawanna County Bar Association. Those memberships reflect a practice that touches both regional and interstate matters.
Daniels began his post-law-school career in the early 1980s. Over the decades he has handled matters in trial and appellate courts, representing clients before judges and panels of jurists. He has served in roles that required written advocacy and oral argument. He has also worked alongside litigators and counselors in firms and court settings, refining an approach grounded in courtroom procedure and appellate briefing.
Today he serves as Of Counsel at Lenahan & Dempsey P.C. In that role he provides counsel on litigation strategy and appellate work. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and precise on legal questions. He has acted in cases that required coordination across multiple courts and careful attention to procedural deadlines.
His practice covers a range of civil litigation matters. He has experience preparing pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs, and presenting oral arguments in both trial and appellate forums. He is comfortable in state courts and federal courts of appeals, and he regularly evaluates whether cases should proceed at the trial level or be raised on appeal.
Outside the courtroom he participates in bar activities and maintains memberships that keep him connected to peers across several states. He continues to follow developments in appellate procedure and civil litigation practice. He concentrates his current practice on civil litigation and appellate matters while serving clients through Lenahan & Dempsey P.C.
