About Teresa

Teresa Trucchi has split her time between courtrooms and classrooms. She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education, Language Arts from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and later took up law, receiving her J.D. from California Western School of Law. Those academic steps set the framework for a career that moves between litigation and educating others about the legal system.

She is admitted to practice in California and holds admission to several federal forums, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit. Over the years her courtroom work has centered on family law matters, a path that led to certification by the state board that oversees legal specialties.

Trucchi is a Certified Family Law Specialist, credentialed by the California Board of Legal Specialization. That certification signals formal recognition of her work in family law by the state’s certifying body. She has also been listed with the California Legal Specialization Board since 2012 and remains connected to that registry.

Her résumé includes time in the classroom. In 2007 she served as an adjunct professor in the Paralegal/Legal Assistant program at San Diego Community College. In that role she taught aspiring legal support professionals about procedure, documentation and the practical side of family law cases. The teaching stint is one of several ways she has engaged with the next generation of legal practitioners.

Practically, Trucchi’s background combines courtroom practice and education. She has handled matters that move through state family courts and into federal appellate review when issues require it. Her experience across different courts gives her familiarity with both trial-level dynamics and appellate procedure, especially in cases that touch on federal jurisdiction questions.

She keeps an office in California and can be reached at 619-297-7330. Her professional affiliations and certification inform how she approaches cases and client matters, reflecting the standards required by state specialty rules. She maintains an active California practice handling family law matters.
