About Taylor
Taylor Ivy built a steady path into criminal defense through law school and early public service. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Mississippi in 2012 after beginning her undergraduate studies in 2008. She then moved west to Denver, enrolling at the University of Denver and completing her J.D. in 2016.
Her legal training combined clinic work and public defender experience. As a 1L summer intern she worked in the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in 2014. That same year she took on client representation through the Student Law Office Criminal Defense Clinic, handling real cases under supervision. While finishing law school she spent time as a 3L extern with the Prisoners Justice League of Colorado, a role that exposed her to the intersection of criminal law and incarceration policy.
After receiving her law degree she joined The Noble Law Office, LLC as a lawyer in 2016. She has been active in professional circles since then. She holds membership in the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, beginning in 2016, and joined the Faculty of Federal Advocates in 2017. Those affiliations reflect a continued engagement with trial practice and defense work in Colorado courts.
Ivy’s experience centers on criminal defense practice and on representing clients at various stages of criminal cases. Her clinic and externship work during law school provided early opportunities to interview witnesses, draft motions and appear in court under supervision. At The Noble Law Office she moved into full representation, handling arraignments, pretrial matters and hearings. The Prisoners Justice League placement involved advocacy on issues that often arise after conviction, adding another dimension to her courtroom experience.
Colleagues describe Ivy as methodical in case preparation and straightforward in court. She prefers plain language when explaining options to clients and tends to emphasize practical outcomes over technicalities. Outside the courtroom she has stayed involved with groups that support trial practice and defender interests in Colorado.
She currently practices criminal defense at The Noble Law Office, LLC in Colorado.
