About Tara
Tara Wood trained at the University of Florida before shifting to law school at Nova Southeastern University, where she earned her J.D. in 2014. Those years set the academic groundwork for a practice centered in Florida. She has stayed in-state professionally and professionally holds memberships in local and state organizations related to her work.
Soon after law school, Wood joined Samuels Wood PLLC and became a principal lawyer there in 2015. She has practiced under that firm name since then, handling matters that fall under the practice areas represented by her professional associations. She is admitted to practice in Florida and has maintained active involvement in the legal community through bar section memberships.
Wood has been a member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section since 2014. She also joined the Junior League of Boca Raton in 2015 and remains involved. For a period she held membership in the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2017. These affiliations have kept her connected to peers who practice in estate planning, probate and elder law issues, and to community organizations in Boca Raton.
Her work encompasses estate planning, probate and trust administration, elder law and real property matters. Clients and colleagues describe her style as straightforward and pragmatic. She handles routine and complex matters, balancing legal requirements with the practical needs of people and families navigating transitions.
In day-to-day practice she splits time between the office and meetings with clients, often reviewing documents and advising on legal options. She also spends time staying current on developments in probate, trust and elder law through the sections of the Florida Bar in which she holds membership. Wood’s practice has been based at Samuels Wood PLLC since she took on the principal role in 2015.
Her current practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, elder law and real property matters.
