About Tara M.

Tara M. Roberts earned a B.A. in Communications and English from Florida State University in 2014 and returned to FSU for her law degree, graduating from Florida State University College of Law in 2017. She left law school prepared for courtroom work and client advocacy. Her academic background gave her practice-ready writing and oral advocacy skills, which she has applied in the years since she took the bar.

After earning her J.D., Roberts entered private practice. She joined Wolfson & Leon in 2022. At the firm she took on caseload responsibilities that included contested hearings, claim evaluations and pretrial preparation. Colleagues describe her as methodical; she tends to break complex files into manageable tasks and keeps a steady pace through litigation timelines.

Roberts focuses on workers' compensation law. She appears in proceedings before judges of compensation claims and files routine and complex pleadings. Her day-to-day work involves evaluating medical records, preparing witnesses for hearings and negotiating resolutions when appropriate. She also prepares written submissions that aim to clarify factual disputes and legal issues for the decision-maker.

She maintains professional ties that reflect that practice area. Roberts is an active member of the Florida Bar Workers Compensation Section and participates in educational programs and section meetings. She is also a member of the Richard A. Sicking American Inn of Court, where she engages with peers and mentors on trial practice and ethics topics. Those affiliations provide regular opportunities for continuing legal education and peer review.

Roberts’s approach is practical. She places emphasis on clear client communication, careful calendaring and thorough preparation. That approach shapes how she handles discovery, interacts with opposing counsel and plans for hearings. In the courtroom she prefers a straightforward style, laying out facts and law without flourish and allowing the record to speak for itself.

Outside of hearings and filings, Roberts spends time updating knowledge of workers' compensation developments through CLE and section activities. She balances casework with professional development and peer collaboration. As of 2026, she practices workers' compensation law at Wolfson & Leon.
