About Tara
Tara Jones is an attorney specializing in estate planning, probate, and real estate law. She practices in both Ohio and Kentucky, serving clients across the Cincinnati and Louisville areas. With over 20 years of experience, Tara has assisted numerous families in establishing comprehensive estate plans and handling the requirements of probate proceedings. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1996 and her Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2003. During law school, Tara served as Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Kentucky Law Review and authored an article on the Americans with Disabilities Act, published in the Southern Illinois University Law Review.
After law school, she spent three years with a law firm in northern Kentucky before returning to Oxford, Ohio, in 2006. She now serves as a freelance attorney, assisting other law firms in the areas of estate planning, probate estates, and general business issues. Tara is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, and Kentucky Bar Association. She is also a Past-President of the Oxford Kiwanis Club, Past-President of the Oxford Free Clinic, and previously served as a civil hearing examiner for the City of Oxford. In her practice, Tara emphasizes clear communication, ensuring clients fully understand each step of the estate planning process, from drafting wills and trusts to establishing powers of attorney.
