About Tameka

Tameka Grantham built her legal foundation in Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida in 1999. She completed her Juris Doctor at St. Thomas University School of Law in 2002. Those years set the stage for a career that has crossed state lines and moved between public service and volunteer work.

After law school she entered public service. In 2006 she served as a prosecutor in the Office of the State Attorney in Hillsborough County, Florida. That role put her in courtrooms and in community settings where case work and quick judgment mattered. It also offered a practical education in trial procedure, evidence and courtroom strategy.

Grantham maintains professional ties in two states. She holds memberships in the Florida Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar, and she is admitted to practice in both Florida and Massachusetts. Those registrations reflect work and professional life that span the southeastern and New England legal communities.

Outside of paid positions she has been active in bar and nonprofit circles. Since 2010 she has been a member of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar. She also volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Boston, providing pro bono legal assistance to individuals who might otherwise lack access to legal help. Those volunteer hours have kept her engaged with community legal needs and offered a steady stream of client-facing experience beyond courtroom work.

Her professional record is characterized by steady participation rather than public showpieces. She moved from prosecutorial work into broader legal practice while keeping ties to bar associations and volunteer organizations. Colleagues describe her as methodical and practical in client matters, preferring careful preparation over theatrics.

Today Grantham continues to practice law across Massachusetts and Florida. She balances private practice responsibilities with volunteer commitments and memberships that reflect ongoing engagement in the profession. Her current practice is informed by earlier prosecutorial experience and sustained volunteer work in legal aid programs.
