About Suzan
Suzan DeSeguin-Hons began her professional life in engineering before turning to law. She trained at Stanford and Cornell in chemical engineering, then studied law in South Australia. The combination of technically rigorous training and legal education has shaped a practice that bridges detail-oriented analysis and courtroom advocacy.
Her academic record starts with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. She later earned an LL.B. in Law from an institution in South Australia. That unusual mix of qualifications informed her early career choices and gave her a perspective different from many attorneys who follow a single, straight path into the law.
DeSeguin-Hons has practiced for decades. In 1994 she operated as the Law Office of Suzan deSeguin-Hons, listed as owner. She is also associated with Saltrese Faville & DeSeguin LLC, where records list her as a founding partner in 2009 and again in 2016. Those listings reflect sustained involvement in firm leadership and the business side of practice alongside client work. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and in the 10th Circuit, which frames much of her litigation and appellate work.
Her work largely involves immigration matters. Over the years she has taken cases that require attention to procedural detail, often handling individual petitions, family-based applications, and administrative appeals. She holds membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and engages with the professional community through that organization. Colleagues and clients have described her approach as methodical; she favors thorough preparation and clear legal reasoning when presenting cases before administrative tribunals and courts.
Today she practices under the name deSeguin Immigration Law LLC. Her office handles a steady docket of immigration matters, combining case preparation, filings, and advocacy before tribunals and federal courts. She continues to balance casework with the demands of running a small practice. She currently practices immigration law at deSeguin Immigration Law llc and handles immigration matters for individuals and families.
