About Susan

Susan Lawson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 2004 and completed her law degree at St. Thomas University School of Law in 2007. Those years framed a move into the legal profession at a moment when South Florida was expanding economically and legally. The combination of a central Florida undergraduate education and a Miami-area law school located her career toward the region early on.

She began practicing soon after law school and has spent her career working in South Florida. Her work has taken her into courtrooms and meeting rooms across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Over time she developed a practice that balances client representation in contested settings and the paperwork and negotiation that prevent disputes from escalating.

Lawson operates from multiple offices to meet clients where they are. She maintains offices in Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise and Boca Raton. Those sites allow her to work on matters that span municipal lines and to respond to scheduling needs in different communities. Colleagues describe her approach as pragmatic; she aims to clarify options, outline consequences, and move cases forward steadily.

Her professional involvement includes current memberships in local professional organizations. Those affiliations have connected her to other lawyers and to continuing education opportunities. Engagement in bar-related programs and community events has helped keep her practice attuned to changes in local rules and court procedures.

Throughout her career she has handled matters that require careful fact-gathering and persistent follow-through. She is comfortable preparing pleadings, negotiating agreements, and appearing before judges and mediators. She also spends time advising clients on how to manage legal risks so disputes are less likely to arise. Her work demands attention to detail and an ability to explain complex legal topics in straightforward terms.

Colleagues note that Lawson balances the administrative demands of running multiple offices with a steady caseload. That balance requires both organizational discipline and regular client contact. She has built a practice network across the region to support litigation, transactional work, and client counseling.

She currently practices from offices in Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise and Boca Raton, serving clients across South Florida.
