About Susan

Susan Haynes built a path to law that began in the classroom. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia State University in 1999 and continued there for advanced study, completing an Educational Specialist degree in 2006 after earning a Master of Science in Education from Brenau University in 2003. A shift in direction came with her return to Georgia State University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2014.

Haynes’s academic record combines extended study in education with legal training. Those years at Georgia State exposed her to both classroom theory and the practical demands of legal study. She completed a sequence of degrees over more than a decade, moving from undergraduate work into graduate education and ultimately into law school. That steady progression shaped the way she approaches client matters: methodical, attentive to detail and accustomed to extended research and documentation.

After law school Haynes joined Buckley Beal LLP as an associate. In that role she participates in the everyday work of a mid-size firm: analyzing legal issues, preparing documents, and advising on procedural matters. Colleagues describe her as thorough in legal research and precise in drafting. She contributes to team efforts on client matters and works under partners to advance case strategy and transactional objectives.

Haynes’s background in education informs her professional demeanor. She communicates complex information plainly and is comfortable explaining technical points to nonlawyers. That ability is visible in client meetings, written advisories and courtroom preparation where clear exposition can make a difference.

Her office is listed at The Promenade. From there she takes on assignments assigned by the firm and supports its broader client roster. Her day-to-day practice includes the standard tasks expected of an associate at a full-service firm: interviewing clients, managing discovery, drafting pleadings and agreements, and coordinating with experts and opposing counsel.

Outside of casework Haynes remains connected to the law school that shaped her career. She maintains professional contacts from her time at Georgia State and stays current through continuing legal education. Her work at Buckley Beal LLP reflects the combination of a long engagement with education and a legal practice cultivated since her J.D. year.

She currently focuses on matters handled by Buckley Beal LLP.
