Sunitha Beatrice Anjilvel is an attorney specializing in family law, divorce, estate planning, and elder law. She is the founder and lead attorney at Anjilvel Law, a firm located in Redmond, Washington. With over 25 years of legal experience, Anjilvel has practiced in Canada, California, and Washington. Her extensive background allows her to navigate complex legal issues effectively. Licensed to practice in both Washington and California, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her clients. Anjilvel earned her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and later obtained her Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
She began her legal career in Canada before moving to California, where she was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995. In 2007, she relocated to Washington State and established Anjilvel Law in 2008, focusing on providing comprehensive legal solutions tailored to her clients' needs. In 2024, Anjilvel made history by becoming the first South Asian woman to serve as president of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA). Her journey with the WSBA began when she joined the Board of Governors in 2019. She was re-elected in 2021 and served as president-elect in 2023. During her presidency, Anjilvel focused on advancing inclusivity within the legal profession and addressing critical issues, such as the shortage of lawyers in rural areas.

She served as chair and member of the WSBA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council for three consecutive years.
