Steve David Sitkoff is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1983. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Sitkoff is a partner at Sitkoff & Hanrahan, LLP, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 40 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. Sitkoff earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he graduated in 1982. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1978. During his time at Loyola Law School, he was recognized on the Dean’s Honor List, reflecting his academic excellence.
Mr. Sitkoff concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, including DUI and DWI cases, drug crimes, violent crimes, sex crimes, theft crimes, parole and probation violations, and juvenile offenses. He represents individuals facing a wide range of criminal charges, providing defense strategies at all stages of litigation, including pre-trial motions, hearings, negotiations, and trials in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sitkoff has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Sitkoff is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Sitkoff is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
