About Stephen R.

Stephen R. Williams built his legal foundation in two Southern law schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University New Orleans in 1983. Four years later he took his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, receiving his J.D. in 1987. These early academic choices set the stage for a steady career in Florida law.

Soon after law school he joined the bar. Records show membership in The Florida Bar beginning in 1988, and he has maintained that membership since. He also joined the American Bar Association that same year and remains a member. Those professional ties anchor a practice that has been active for decades.

By 1990 Williams was practicing at Williams & Ackley, P.L.C. He has been associated with that firm’s work since then. Over the years his role has involved the everyday tasks that keep a law office functioning: advising clients, preparing filings, appearing in court when required and managing matters on the firm’s docket. Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in handling routine and contested matters alike.

Williams’s career follows a conventional arc. He moved from law school into bar membership and into private practice. The timeline is simple. The responsibilities are not. Long-standing firm ties suggest a familiarity with local rules, judges and procedural expectations that only time in practice can bring. He has kept active in the bar community by maintaining memberships in state and national associations.

Outside of firm practice, Williams’s record indicates continued engagement with professional organizations rather than academic posts or high-profile public appointments. There are no public records here of judicial office or academic teaching assignments. Instead, his professional footprint is one of persistent practice at the firm level. He has navigated the practical work of representing clients and supporting the firm’s operations for more than three decades.

Today he remains at Williams & Ackley, P.L.C., practicing in Florida and holding active membership in The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. He currently practices at Williams & Ackley, P.L.C., handling the legal matters undertaken by the firm’s clients.
