About Stephanie Henderson
Stephanie Henderson Stocker builds a practice around courtroom work and employment disputes. She combines a law degree that emphasized litigation with years spent on both sides of the business of law. The result is a practical, courtroom-minded approach to everyday legal problems.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Washington in 1998. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2002, where her studies centered on litigation skills and courtroom procedure.
Her résumé lists a range of roles across private practice and legal services. Early in her career she worked at Paine Hamblen LLP in 1999 in an employment law capacity under Rule 9. She is recorded as a lawyer at Carney Badley Spellman, P.S. in 2001. In 2002 she served as a judicial clerk to Chief Justice Gerry Alexander of the Washington State Supreme Court, gaining experience in appellate work and the inner workings of the state’s highest court. She later took on an in-house role as Legal Division Director at Robert Half Legal, Inc. in 2005, a position that involved managing legal staffing and operations. In 2012 she became a partner at Henderson Law Group, PLLC.
Her admitted jurisdictions include the Washington bar and the Federal Circuit, reflecting a mix of state and federal appellate eligibility. She has moved between private law firms and legal services management, a path that exposed her to both client representation and the administrative side of legal practice.
Colleagues describe Stocker as methodical in preparing cases and straightforward in the courtroom. Her education and clerkship background inform her approach to briefs and oral argument. She has handled employment-related matters as well as broader litigation, drawing on classroom training and practical courtroom experience.
Outside of casework she has experience in legal operations from her time directing a legal division for a national staffing company. That role required coordination across departments and an understanding of how litigation and compliance issues affect business decisions.
She is a partner at Henderson Law Group, PLLC, where she represents clients in employment and litigation matters. She currently practices at Henderson Law Group, PLLC, handling employment and commercial litigation matters.
