About Stephan F.
Stephan F. Shattuck earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2015. He moved to New York after law school and built early courtroom experience through pro bono work and associate roles. The legal training he received in Baltimore laid the groundwork for practice in family court and civil matters in New York.
Early in his career Shattuck served as a volunteer lawyer at New York City Family Court in 2016. That work exposed him to the fast pace and procedural demands of family court dockets. In the same year he joined Richardson Legal PLLC as an associate, where he handled client intake, drafted pleadings and appeared in court on matters related to family and domestic relations.
In 2018 Shattuck continued his trajectory in private practice. He worked as an associate at Lebedin Kofman LLP and later that year took on the role of managing lawyer at Shattuck LLC. Those roles expanded his responsibilities. He began overseeing case strategy, supervising filings and managing client communications while maintaining a caseload of contested and uncontested matters.
Shattuck is admitted to practice in New York and holds membership in the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section. His background includes both volunteer and firm-based work in family courts, and he has frequently handled matters that require negotiation as well as courtroom advocacy. His practice touches on custody disputes, support proceedings and divorce-related issues, and he has experience guiding clients through settlement discussions as well as contested hearings.
Today Shattuck operates out of Shattuck LLC, where he serves as the managing lawyer. He balances administrative duties with direct client work, and he continues to appear in family court representing individuals at various stages of domestic and family law disputes. He focuses his practice on family law matters in New York.
