About Paul H.

Paul H. Roitshtein took a traditional path into the law, mixing a humanities background with courtroom experience early on. He earned a B.A. in English Literature from Georgetown University in 2005. He then attended the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, receiving his J.D. in 2010. Those years sharpened his writing and analytical skills, and he carried both into practical legal work almost immediately.

His first roles were practical ones. While still a student he worked in the Marin County District Attorney’s Misdemeanor Trial Unit in 2008. He followed that with an internship in 2009 for the Honorable Michael Ravin, J.S.C., of the Superior Court of New Jersey. After law school he served as a judicial law clerk in 2010 to the Honorable Paul M. DePascale, J.S.C., also of the Superior Court of New Jersey. The clerkship offered daily exposure to case management, opinion drafting, and the procedural habits of the trial court.

In 2011 he moved into private practice as an associate at Richardson Legal PLLC. That position introduced him to client work and the responsibilities of litigation practice outside the courthouse. Six years later he established his own office and in 2017 took on the title of managing lawyer at the Law Office of Paul Roitshtein, Esq. He is admitted to practice in New York and has maintained a private practice since founding his firm.

Roitshtein’s background blends courtroom procedure, legal research, and trial-unit experience. The earlier internships and clerkship informed his handling of pleadings and motions. His time in private firms has involved case strategy and client counseling. Colleagues describe him as a practitioner who relies on careful preparation and straight talk in court and in client meetings.

He runs a solo practice that reflects that mix of courtroom and office work. Cases handled at his office have required courtroom filings, hearings, and negotiations. Roitshtein continues to work in New York, representing clients and managing litigation and related legal matters. His current practice focuses on client representation and litigation in New York.
