About Stacy L.
Stacy L. Cole followed a path that merged business training and courtroom work. She earned a B.B.A. from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2007, and a J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2012. The sequence gives a practical backdrop to how she approaches disputes and advising clients.
Early in her career she worked outside the law as a business analyst for Lennox Industries in 2006. She returned to Lennox as a summer law clerk in 2011 while in law school. That summer placement was paired with court-side experience the same year: an externship at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Earlier internships included work for the 101st District Court in Dallas County and a real estate and tax placement at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
After earning her law degree she spent time as a trial lawyer at Rob Wiley, P.C., in 2012. She opened Stacy Cole Law, P.C. in 2013 and has led that firm since. Her practice has remained centered in Texas, and she is admitted to practice before the State of Texas and the federal courts of the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Her credentials include board certification in Labor and Employment Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential signals a sustained engagement with employment litigation and related counseling rather than a general civil practice. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Texas State Bar, the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and groups focused on employment law such as the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Texas Employment Lawyers Association.
Colleagues and clients describe her work as methodical. She prepares cases for trial and handles pretrial disposition work. Her background in business adds an analytical element to case assessment and discovery strategies. She has handled matters for individuals and employers, and she brings courtroom experience to settlement negotiations.
She maintains an active practice through Stacy Cole Law, P.C., handling labor and employment matters across Texas and in the federal courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Her current practice centers on employment and labor law matters in Texas.
