About Stacey A.
Stacey A. McCullough built her career on public service and local practice. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois–Chicago in 1991 and completed her J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1994. Those years set the stage for a career spent largely in DuPage County and the surrounding suburbs.
Her legal work began at the DuPage County Public Defender's Office, where she served as a Senior Assistant Public Defender beginning in 1994. That early courtroom experience grounded her in criminal defense and trial procedure. A decade later she joined the Law Office of Thomas & McCullough, P.C., serving as an associate and then partner in 2004. She opened a solo practice in 2005 and spent several years representing clients on a range of criminal and administrative matters.
In 2017 McCullough became a partner at Momkus McCluskey LLC. The following year she took on an of-counsel role at MKFM Law — Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC. Her path shows a mix of solo practice and collaborative firm work, and it reflects steady engagement with local courtrooms, municipal hearings, and client counseling outside court.
McCullough holds certification as an Illinois Municipal Administrative Hearing Officer. She applies that credential in administrative and municipal proceedings, bringing familiarity with local ordinance enforcement and hearing procedures. Her experience in criminal defense complements that work, since many municipal matters intersect with local law enforcement and court processes.
She has been active in bar and community organizations for many years. Locally, she has held multiple leadership positions in the DuPage County Bar Association, including service on the board of directors and election as president in 2019. She served as president of the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in 2006 and later as its treasurer beginning in 2016. She also serves as a director of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois starting in 2018, and she maintains memberships in the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers.
Colleagues describe McCullough as experienced in courtroom advocacy and municipal hearings. She continues to handle criminal defense, represent clients in municipal administrative matters, and serve on local bar committees. Her current practice centers on municipal administrative hearings and criminal defense matters.
