About Spencer H.
Spencer H. Larche took a direct path into law. He completed a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics at Spring Hill College in 2005 and earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2008. While at Marquette he also completed a certificate in sports law from the National Sports Law Institute, an indicator of an early interest in the intersection of law and athletics.
His first legal job came immediately after law school. In 2008 he joined Quarles & Brady LLP, where he worked as an associate handling matters that spanned both transactional and litigation work. Three years later he moved to Johnstone Adams, LLC and became a partner in 2011. The shift from a large firm to a smaller, more compact practice gave him a different set of responsibilities, including client development and case management.
Larche’s admissions cover multiple states and federal circuits. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, Mississippi and Wisconsin, and he is authorized to appear before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Seventh Circuits. His State Bar of Wisconsin membership is listed as inactive; other memberships reflect active involvement in specialty bar groups.
He holds memberships in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. Those associations, together with his sports law certificate, point to a practice that crosses industry lines. Over the years he has handled matters that required both regulatory interpretation and courtroom readiness. His background includes work on federal filings and appellate matters given his circuit admissions.
Colleagues describe him as practical and methodical in approach. He has balanced transactional assignments with litigation, and his experience at a national firm early in his career exposed him to complex client matters. At Johnstone Adams he took on a partnership role that expanded his responsibilities beyond casework to include firm operations and mentoring junior attorneys.
Today he is a partner at Johnstone Adams LLC. His practice includes immigration and health law matters and extends to issues that touch on sports law and appellate work. He maintains bar memberships and federal court admissions that allow him to handle cases at both state and federal levels.
