About Simon
Simon Safir is an attorney licensed in Texas who combines courtroom experience with specialized academic training in health law. He earned a J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2020 and followed that with an LL.M. in Healthcare Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2021. The additional graduate degree gave him formal training in regulatory and compliance issues that commonly arise in health care practice.
His early legal work came through a series of internships and certified placements in 2020. He served as a litigation intern at RAICES, the refugee and immigrant services organization. He also worked as a legal intern at Platt Cheema Richmond PLLC and held certified legal intern positions with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Those roles exposed him to both client advocacy and courtroom procedure, and they helped shape his approach to case preparation and client counseling.
In 2021 he launched his practice at iLaw, PLLC under the listing Simon Safir Esq. That year marked his move into private practice and the start of his work as a lawyer handling matters for clients in Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is certified as a mediator by the Texas Association of Mediators. The mediator credential signals an interest in resolving disputes through negotiated settlements as well as litigation when necessary.
Safir’s experience spans legal aid, immigration-related litigation work, and private practice matters. The mix of pro bono and private work informs his courtroom presence. He has handled litigation-related tasks and developed familiarity with procedural demands in civil matters. His LL.M. training adds depth on statutes, federal regulations, and compliance issues that affect providers and institutions in health care.
Those pieces come together in a practice that moves between dispute resolution and regulatory questions. He takes cases that require both advocacy at hearings and careful attention to statutory frameworks. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and methodical in case preparation.
He currently practices at iLaw, PLLC — Simon Safir Esq., and handles matters in Texas involving healthcare law, mediation, and civil litigation.
