About Shawn Richard
Shawn Richard Kassman earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Hofstra University in 1991. He stayed in Long Island for law school and received his J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1996. Those years shaped the practical approach he brought to his legal studies. He combined classroom study with an eye toward the procedural work of courts and client representation.
After completing law school and qualifying to practice, Kassman became admitted to the bar in New York and later gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He established The Law Office of Shawn R. Kassman in 2000. He has practiced under that firm name since then. Over the course of two decades and more, he has built a practice that operates in both state and federal forums, handling filings, hearings and court appearances tied to matters brought in New York courts and in the Eastern District.
Kassman maintains memberships in the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect steady participation in the legal community on Long Island and in the broader state bar. His routine work requires navigation of procedural rules in both state and federal court, and his admissions allow him to represent clients before trial courts in New York and in the Eastern District of New York.
He runs a law office under his own name, where he manages client matters and daily office operations. The practice has continued from the year 2000 to the present, and he has retained the same professional identity through that period. He handles the procedural and advocacy tasks that arise when clients bring matters to state or federal court. He currently practices through The Law Office of Shawn R. Kassman and concentrates on representing clients in New York state and federal courts.
