About Shawn H.
Shawn H. Head built his legal foundation at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2008. His undergraduate years were spent at Central Michigan University, where he completed a broad Bachelor of Science program encompassing sociology, criminal justice, legal studies and political science. Those studies shaped his early approach to law and public service.
After law school he moved into roles that combined governance and organizational oversight. He served as National President of Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc. in 2010. Two years later he took on the role of National Director of Risk Management for the same organization. Those positions required administrative coordination, policy development and attention to institutional compliance.
He holds active memberships in the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of Illinois. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Michigan and is listed in the rolls of both state bars as a current member.
His career path shows an interest in organizational law and risk issues, reflected in his fraternity leadership and risk management responsibilities. He has worked in environments that demand clear procedural frameworks and an ability to manage competing stakeholder interests. Colleagues describe him as someone who attends to procedural detail and the practical needs of clients and organizations.
He maintains a private practice under the name Shawn H. Head - Lawyer at Law. He has offices that serve clients in the two states where he is licensed. He continues to engage with professional associations and the bar organizations that govern practice standards in those jurisdictions.
Today he practices law across Illinois and Michigan. His current practice focuses on legal matters arising in those states, where he represents clients and provides counsel on issues appropriate to his licensure and experience.
