About Shari-Lynn Cuomo

Shari-Lynn Cuomo Shore entered the law through an unusual combination of literary training and courtroom study. She earned a B.A. from the University of Rochester in 2001, concentrating in creative writing and legal studies, and completed her J.D. at Albany Law School in 2005. Those years shaped a lawyer comfortable with dense legal analysis and clear written advocacy.

Her early legal formation included a clerkship at the Schenectady District Lawyer’s Office in 2006. In that role she handled research, drafted memoranda and motions, and assisted trial counsel. The position gave her day-to-day exposure to criminal matters, procedural practice and client intake procedures. It was a hands-on introduction to the practical side of lawyering.

By 2009 she had moved into private practice as a partner and owner at Riordan, Cutting & Shore, LLP. There she balanced casework with the administrative responsibilities that come with firm leadership. Managing client expectations, supervising staff and contributing to the firm’s business operations became part of her routine in addition to legal tasks.

Three years later she assumed a partner and owner role at Wolf & Shore, LLC. That move consolidated her career in private practice and placed her squarely in Connecticut’s legal community. Her day-to-day work continued to include courtroom preparation and client counseling, along with managing the practical demands of running a small law firm.

Shore is admitted to practice in Connecticut. Her experience spans public service and private firm work, and it reflects a steady progression from clerkship to firm ownership. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and pragmatic: she breaks complex matters into discrete tasks and keeps clients informed through each step of a case.

Outside the office she has maintained a steady focus on the administrative side of practice. Over time that has translated into routine oversight of case workflows, delegating tasks to support staff, and ensuring that files move forward on schedule. The result is a practice that runs on predictable procedure and attention to detail rather than on flash.

She continues to practice at Wolf & Shore, LLC and represents clients in matters across Connecticut, combining her earlier public-sector experience with years of private practice work.
