About Seth Q.
Seth Q. Peritz built his legal foundation at the College of William and Mary, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2016. He completed undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University, receiving a B.S. in Political Science in 2013. Those academic steps took him from the Midwest to Virginia courts and set the stage for a career concentrated on criminal defense work.
He began practice immediately after law school. In 2016 he served as a legal fellow at the Loudoun County Public Defender's Office, gaining trial exposure and hands-on client work in the local courts. The following year he joined The Law Offices of James Rivera as an associate. In 2018 he worked as a lawyer at Robinson Law, PLLC. By 2020 he was named a partner at Crowley Peritz Law, LLC, a position that formalized his leadership role within the firm and expanded his responsibilities in case management and courtroom strategy.
Peritz is admitted to practice in Virginia and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Those credentials allow him to handle matters in state courts and certain federal proceedings. His membership roster reflects the practical areas he handles: he belongs to the National College of DUI Defense, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also holds memberships in the Fairfax Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association’s Eastern District of Virginia chapter, and the Virginia Bar Association.
His work centers on criminal defense, with significant attention to DUI and related traffic offenses. His early experience in a public defender’s office provided a steady stream of contested hearings and trials, and his subsequent roles broadened the mix of cases he manages. He has handled matters at the county level and has taken on cases that require federal admission in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Clients and colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and detail-oriented in preparation. He balances plea negotiations against readiness to try cases when the facts and law warrant it. He handles case investigation, client interviews, motion practice and courtroom advocacy as parts of a single workflow aimed at resolving matters through the best available options.
Peritz is a named partner at Crowley Peritz Law, LLC, where he continues to represent clients in criminal and DUI matters in Virginia and in the Eastern District of Virginia federal courts. His current practice focuses on criminal defense and related litigation in those jurisdictions.
