About Sergiu
Sergiu Gherman took an unconventional path to the law. He earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from Temple University in 2003, then turned to legal study and received his J.D. from the University of Florida in 2006. The shift from one doctorate to another shaped a practice built on study, discipline and an eye for detail.
He began his legal career in Florida soon after law school. In 2007 he worked as a lawyer at Frost Tamayo Sessums Aranda P.A., where he gained practical courtroom and client experience. Those early years were a time of steady learning. He handled matters that exposed him to the daily realities of practicing law in the state.
By 2011 Gherman had moved into firm leadership. He served as Managing Partner at Gherman Legal PLLC beginning that year. The role put him in charge of both administrative decisions and client work. Over time he balanced running a small firm while maintaining a roster of cases and legal responsibilities.
Outside the office he took part in local civic and professional circles. He joined the Consular Corps of Miami in 2012 and continues his involvement there. He was also a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce from 2011 through 2013. Those affiliations reflect an interest in the local community and in organizations that link legal, diplomatic and business interests in Miami.
Gherman’s dual academic background is a recurring note in conversations about his style. The combination of a DMA and a J.D. is uncommon. It contributes to an approach that values precise preparation and clear presentation. Colleagues describe him as methodical and exacting in his work, preferring careful analysis over sweeping claims.
His practice has remained rooted in Florida. He has spent his professional life working in the state’s legal market, first at a regional firm and then as a managing partner at his own firm. That continuity has given him an intimate sense of local court procedures and client expectations.
Today he leads Gherman Legal PLLC. He continues to participate in the Consular Corps of Miami while managing his firm’s matters and obligations. He now leads Gherman Legal PLLC, where he focuses on serving clients in Florida.
